Preparation

Getting your website ready for Propak Cape

A simple plan around the dates of Propak Cape. Adjust it to your team and your products.

  1. Step 1

    8 weeks before

Open your website on a phone as a visitor would and note what is slow or unclear. List what you will show at Propak Cape in the Packaging sector and check that each item has its own page.

  2. Step 2

    4 weeks before

Describe each offer in plain words: who it is for, what problem it solves and how a visitor gets in touch. Add the languages your visitors read and a QR code that leads to a page made for Propak Cape.

  3. Step 3

    Fair week

Test your contact form and the e-mail it sends on a phone. Capture every contact at the stand with one method and note what each visitor asked for.

  4. Step 4

    2 weeks after

Reply to every contact from Propak Cape within days. Update your pages with the questions you heard most at the stand.

For packaging exhibitors

What a packaging website should show

Packaging buyers look for clear product ranges, specifications and compliance documents before a fair, then want a quick way to continue the conversation afterwards.

Product group pages

Give each product group, such as folding cartons, flexible films or filling lines, its own clear page with specifications, so buyers can check what you offer before the fair.

Certificates and data sheets

Put your material data sheets and food-contact or recycling certificates where visitors can find them, since packaging buyers often ask for these documents before they request a quote.

Fast multilingual pages

Make sure your pages load quickly on a phone at the stand, and offer the pages in the languages of your buyers, such as German, French or Spanish.

Scan and follow up

Use the business-card scanner to capture each visitor's details at the stand, note the packaging format they need, and follow up every contact within days of the fair.
