Getting your website ready for GITEX Africa
A simple plan around the dates of GITEX Africa. Adjust it to your team and your products.
-
Step 1
8 weeks before
Open your website on a phone as a visitor would and note what is slow or unclear. List what you will show at GITEX Africa in the Technology sector and check that each item has its own page.
-
Step 2
4 weeks before
Describe each offer in plain words: who it is for, what problem it solves and how a visitor gets in touch. Add the languages your visitors read and a QR code that leads to a page made for GITEX Africa.
-
Step 3
Fair week
Test your contact form and the e-mail it sends on a phone. Capture every contact at the stand with one method and note what each visitor asked for.
-
Step 4
2 weeks after
Reply to every contact from GITEX Africa within days. Update your pages with the questions you heard most at the stand.
What a technology website should show
Technology buyers look for clear specifications, integration details and support terms they can check on their own, on any device, before and after meeting you at the fair.
Dedicated product pages
Before the fair, check that each software or hardware product has its own page with clear specifications, integration details and a downloadable datasheet that buyers can find without asking.
Fast mobile loading
Test your product pages on a phone over a weak fair-hall connection, because IT buyers will open your demo or pricing page at your stand and expect it to load quickly.
Partner-Market languages
Offer your pages in the languages of visitors from distributor and reseller markets, including key terms such as licensing, support levels and API documentation, so partners can assess fit without a call.
Fair-Specific landing page
Give your stand a QR code that leads to a page made for the fair, with a demo request form, then scan business cards and follow up with every contact within days.
